Ozempic Stories

NAFLD user reports - It's Working

A user, from Canada, shared a very positive story today.

They started taking Ozempic medication in September at the request of their gastroenterologist for NAFLD (Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) which has been present since 2014. Their recent labs indicate that their liver enzyme levels are within normal range for the first time in 9 years, and their triglycerides and cholesterol have decreased significantly since May, and have lost 25lbs in 4 months.

I could cry happy tears! I started Ozempic on Sept 15th at the request of my gastroenterologist. I’ve had NAFLD since 2014, which presents on blood work as high liver enzyme levels. I’ve had high triglycerides since they first started testing for them when I was in my early 20s (40 now). I also have high cholesterol, and I’m pre-diabetic. I meet with my Dr tomorrow for my monthly Oz check-in. Since I’ve been on it for 4 months he had me do some blood work this AM. I just checked it online…. All my liver enzyme levels are within normal range for the first time in 9 years!! And my triglycerides and cholesterol have decreased significantly since May! (For some reason, he didn’t check my sugar levels). Ozempic is working for me!!!! And for those wanting to know about weight loss. I’ve lost 25lbs in 4 months.

For those wondering about NAFLD:

NAFLD stands for Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. It is a condition in which fat builds up in the liver of people who drink little or no alcohol. NAFLD can range from simple fatty liver, in which the fat does not cause inflammation or damage, to a more serious condition called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), in which the fat causes inflammation and damage to liver cells. NAFLD is closely linked with obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, and it is becoming increasingly common. If left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as cirrhosis and liver cancer.
